Sunfish South Moreton - Recreational fishing in Moreton Bay

Sunfish South Moreton - Recreational fishing in Moreton Bay
Take a Kid Fishing Day is on again!
Sunfish South Moreton branch will be holding their anual Take A Kid Fishing Day on Sunday 3 April at the Wynnum Jetty. The day will start at 8.30am and finish at 12.00.

Kids must register at the shelter near the whales playground and be accompanied by a parent or carer.

The registration forms will be the ticket to go into the lucky draw at the end of the morning. The prizes are donated by the Australian Tackle Industry and one well known member Bruce Alvey of Alvey Reels will be present to assist the kids and pass on some of his welth of fishing knowledge.

Kids will need to bring along their own rods, reels and fishing tackle. Some of the baits that would be good on the day are prawns, squid and worms. Bait will be available at the Water Tower Bait and Tackle shop in the BP Garage complex at the round about in Manly Road, Manly.

Sunfish members will be there to assist in fishing skills , knot tying, baiting a hook and fishing handling. The day is to promote the fun of a family going fishing and wanting to go again another day.

The lucky draw and give away bags will be done after the sausage sizzle.
